Seed Cake

Cake madew with caraway seeds

Ingredients

125 g butter

1/2 cup sugar

1 1/2 cups Edmonds plain baking flour

1 1/2 teaspoons Edmonds baking powder

2 eggs, beaten

1 teaspoon caraway seeds

Method

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy

Sift flour and baking powder together

Add eggs alternately with sifted dry ingredients

Mix in caraway seeds

Place in a greased and lined 18 cm square cake tin

Bake at 180°C for 30-35 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched

Leave in tin for 10 minutes before turning out onto a cooling rack
