Pork Fillet Chinese Style

Pork Fillets oven roasted in soy sauce, honey, sugar, garlic, spring onion, ginger, cinnamon and food colouring marinade

Ingredients

2 medium pork fillets

1/4 cup cup soy sauce

1 tablespoon liquid honey

1 tablespoon brown sugar

2 cloves garlic, crushed

1 spring onion, sliced

1 teaspoon grated root ginger

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon red food colouring

Method

Trim fat from meat

In a large bowl or shallow oven proof dish, combine soy sauce, honey, sugar, garlic, spring onion, ginger, cinnamon and food colouring.

Stir to combine

Add pork fillets, turning to coat

Leave to marinate for at least 1 hour, turning occasionally

Drain pork from marinade and place on a rack over roasting dish

Cook at 190°C for 20 minutes or until juices run clear when tested with a skewer

Baste with marinade during cooking time

Serve with stir-fried vegetables
