Oaty Apple Loaf Loaf
Loaf made with rolled oats, spice, cinnamon, sugar, apples, and sultanas. Very wholesome
Ingredients
125 g butter
1 teaspoon Edmonds baking soda
1 teaspoon mixed spice
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup brown sugar
2 apples grated
1 cup sultanas
1 cup water
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup Fleming's rolled oats
1 1/2 cups Edmonds plain baking flour
3 teaspoons Edmonds baking powder
Method
Put butter, soda, spice, cinnamon, sugar, apples, sultanas and water into a large saucepan
Bring to the boil stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and allow cool
Beat in eggs and rolled oats
Sift flour and baking powder into the saucepan
Stir to combine
Pour mixture into a well-greased 22 cm loaf tin.
Bake at 180 C for 45 minutes or until loaf springs back when lightly touched.
Leave in tin for 10 minutes before turning out onto a cooling rack.
