Italian Green Beans

Adding a difference to vegetables, green beans cooked with tomatoes and garlic

Ingredients

500 g green beans, sliced diagonally

2-3 tomatoes, blanched and chopped

2 tablespoons oil

salt

1 clove garlic, crushed

black pepper

Method

Cook beans in boiling salted water until just tender

Drain

Heat oil in a saucepan, add beans, garlic, tomatoes, salt and pepper to taste

Simmer gently for 5 minutes or until beans are cooked and tomatoes soft

Microwave

Cook beans in a little water on High Power (100%) for 7 minutes or until just tender

Drain

Combine all ingredients and cook for 2-3 minutes.
