Honey Cinnamon Pork

Strips of pork schnitzel pan fried with honey

Ingredients

500 g pork schnitzel, sliced into thin strips

1 1/2 teaspoons pepper

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 large onion, sliced

2 large carrots, peeled and sliced

3 cloves garlic, crushed

1/2 cup water or stock

1 cup frozen green beans, thawed

1 tablespoon cornflour

2 tablespoons honey

1/4 cup water

salt, to taste

Preparation

Toss the schnitzel in the pepper, cinnamon and cloves.

Set aside for 15 minutes

Heat the oil in a large heavy-based frying pan or wok

Stir fry the onion and carrot over a high heat until they start to brown.

Remove from the pan

Place the pork into the pan, stir fry until brown

Return the carrots and onions to the pan and add the garlic, stock and beans

Combine the cornflower, honey and water and stir into the pork mixture

Cook 2 to 3 minutes, season to taste and serve with rice

Serves 4
