Chop Suey

Traditional favourite home made pork chop suey

Ingredients

1 tablespoon oil

500 g pork schnitzel cut into strips

2 cloves garlic, crushed

2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh root ginger

1 carrot, thinly sliced

1 cup cauliflower florets

1 celery stalk, sliced on the diagonal

1 onion chopped

1 cup broccoli florets

1 tablespoon cornflour

2 tablespoons water or orange juice

12 snow peas

Method

Heat the oil in a large frying pan

Add the pork, garlic and ginger.

Stir fry for 2 to 3 minutes

Add the carrot, cauliflower, celery, onion, and broccoli.

Stir fry for a further 2 to 3 minutes

Mix the cornflour with the water or orange juice, add the pork and vegetables and cook, stirring, until mixture thickens

Garnish with the snow peas.

Serve immediately
